Iraq: What the 'Experts' are REALLY saying

The War in Iraq has been a diversion from the TRUE War against Al Qaida and its operatives. The fact that this "war" was declared (an unjust war according to Christian Just-War Teaching as enunciated by St. Thomas Aquinas and declared so by Pope John Paul II) is a travesty of JUSTICE. It has drained our economy, butchered innocent Iraqis accidentally ("collateral damage") and has made the United States of America LESS safe for democracy.

Hear now the words of two leading 'experts.'

"Symbolically [Afghanistan] is more the epicenter of terrorism than Iraq. If you don't succeed in Afghanistan, you're sending a very clear message to the terrorist organizations that the U.S., the UN, and the 37 countries with troops on the ground can be defeated."

--Former NATO supreme commander General James L. Jones

"No amount of troops [in Iraq] in no amount of time will make much of a difference."

--Admiral Michael G. Mullen testifying before the Senate Armed Services Committee on July 31, 2007

But still we continue to laud a half-hearted, under-funded "troop surge" as the answer to the Pandora's box that Iraq has become.

What do YOU think?

How SOON should American soldiers be completely OUT OF IRAQ?

Write your Congressman. Write your State Senators. Write me even!

Blessings in Jesus,
